Tyger Hills Guest House is an owner managed, award winning guest house in Loevenstein, Bellville - one of the northern suburbs of Cape Town. As a 3-star graded establishment you can expect very good quality in the overall standard of facilities, furnishings, service and guest care at affordable rates. This is the reason why our guests refer to Tyger Hills Guest House as "A Place called Home."
All rooms have private entrances, each with its own bathroom, kitchenette and dining area. Each room has a different view: some of the garden and pool and some of the mountains and city lights. An air conditioner and a TV with DSTV channels are standard in each room. For your convenience, free Wi-Fi is available in your room. Safe parking is provided on site.
For quality assurance, we are affiliated to: Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, National Accommodation Association of South Africa (NAA-SA), Accommodation Cape Town North (ACTN), Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor (2016 - 2018), Western Cape winner of Lilizela Tourism Award 2018 in the 3-star Guest House category, and finalist in 2019.
We are within walking distance from the Tijger Clinic and the Tygerberg Office Park. A short drive from us is Tygervalley Shopping Mall, Stellenbosch University Business School, Karl Bremer Hospital, Panorama Mediclinic and Tygerberg Hospital. The University of Western Cape is a mere 8km from us; Cape Town International Airport is only 12 km away and we are 20 km from Cape Town.
We are situated close to the business areas of Bellville, Parow, Durbanville and Goodwood. Tyger Hills Guest House is centrally located to all the attractions that made Cape Town famous. You can visit Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Robben Island to the south. The Durbanville wine route is a short drive from us, and the wine routes of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek are within easy reach to the north.

The family room is a spacious room (+/- 35 m2) with its own private entrance from the outside and an open-plan layout (no separate bedrooms in the room). One Queen bed and 2 single beds.
The private en-suite bathroom has a shower, toilet and hand basin.
The kitchenette is equipped with a two-plate cooker, microwave oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery for basic self-catering purposes.

The health and safety of our team members and our guests are of utmost importance to us. Our aim is to adhere to Covid-19 protocols, in addition to standard occupational health and safety measures, as suggested by tourism industry leaders.
The following measures are implemented according to guidelines:
• Each room has its own kitchenette for self-catering. Breakfast is available at special request and is served in the comfort of the guests’ own room.
• Express check-in to enhance social distancing.
• New screen guards installed at reception desk.
• UVC Disinfection Box for sanitizing of room keys, remotes and other loose items.
• Wearing of a mask is compulsory during check-in procedure and in public spaces.
• Housekeeping frequency to be communicated to guest on check-in.
• Hands-free sanitation stations installed at main entrance, as well as entrances to rooms.
• Signage on premises to remind guests of health protocols.
• Sanitizing of higher-risk communal surfaces (door handles, staircase railings, light switches, etc.)
• Staff training with regards to Covid-19 protocols.
• Appropriate personal protective equipment provided to staff.
• Guest rooms are sanitized and disinfected after check-out to prepare for new guests with disinfecting solutions containing Quadex, a multi acting high level disinfectant that provides protection against a variety of pathogens and microbes
• Social distancing maintained between guest house staff and guests. No guests allowed inside the room while cleaning is in progress.
• The regulations with regards to Covid-19 pandemic is evolving and changing. These protocols are subject to change.
